PDFSuite supports three rotation angles to cover all use cases:
90° clockwise
- • Rotates the page 90 degrees to the right
- • Converts portrait pages to landscape
- • Useful when scans were rotated 90° to the left
- • The most common option for fixing documents
✓ Best for: Fixing scanned documents in landscape orientation
90° counter-clockwise
- • Rotates the page 90 degrees to the left
- • Converts portrait pages to landscape in the opposite direction
- • Useful when scans were rotated 90° to the right
- • Complements clockwise rotation
✓ Best for: Fixing scans rotated in the opposite direction
180° flip
- • Completely flips the page upside down
- • Content appears inverted
- • Useful for documents scanned upside down
- • Equivalent to applying two 90° rotations
✓ Best for: Documents that were scanned completely upside down
Does rotating a PDF reduce its quality?
No. PDFSuite uses pdf-lib to modify the rotation metadata of each page without re-rendering the content. Text remains selectable, images keep their original quality, and the file size barely changes.
Can I rotate only specific pages?
Yes. Select 'Specific pages' and enter the range in format '1-3, 5, 7-10'. This lets you, for example, rotate only the first page or a set of pages without affecting the rest of the document.
Is there a file size or page limit?
There are no artificial limits. You can rotate PDFs of any size and with any number of pages. The only limit is the memory available in your browser.
Are my files safe?
Yes. All processing happens locally in your browser using JavaScript. Your files are never uploaded to any server. Once you close the page, all data is cleared from memory.
Is rotation cumulative?
Yes, rotation is additive. If a page already has 90° of rotation and you apply another 90° clockwise, it will result in 180°. PDFSuite respects the original orientation of each page.
Are bookmarks and links preserved?
Yes. Since the content is not re-rendered, all bookmarks, hyperlinks, and indexes from the original PDF are preserved intact in the rotated document.
