Is this signature legally valid?
This tool adds a visual signature (image) to the PDF. It is not a cryptographic digital signature with a certificate. For documents requiring legal validity, check your jurisdiction's laws on electronic signatures.
Can I sign only some pages?
Yes. You can choose to sign the first page, the last, all pages, or specify a custom range (e.g., 1-3, 5, 7-10).
What signature image formats are accepted?
You can use PNG or JPG images. PNG images with transparent backgrounds work best, as they allow the document content to show through the signature.
Are my files and signature secure?
Yes. All processing happens locally in your browser. Your drawn signature or image is never uploaded to any server. Once you close the page, all data is cleared from memory.
Can I sign password-protected PDFs?
Not directly. Password-protected PDFs need to be unlocked first. Use our 'Protect PDF' tool to manage passwords.
What signature sizes are available?
Three sizes are available: small (ideal for initials), medium (standard signature size), and large (for prominent signatures). The size adapts proportionally to the PDF page.
