Does watermarking affect PDF quality?

No. PDFSuite uses pdf-lib to add the watermark as a layer on each page without re-rendering the content. Original text remains selectable, images maintain their quality, and file size barely changes.

Can I apply the watermark to specific pages only?

Yes. You can choose between applying to all pages or specifying a range (e.g., 1-3, 5, 7-10). This is useful if you only need to mark certain sections of the document.

What image formats can I use?

You can use PNG or JPG images. PNG images with transparency work especially well as watermarks, as they allow the underlying content to show through.

Are my files secure?

Yes. All processing happens locally in your browser using JavaScript. Your files are never uploaded to any server. Once you close the page, all data is cleared from memory.

Can I watermark password-protected PDFs?

Not directly. Password-protected PDFs need to be unlocked first. If you have access to the original unprotected PDF, you can add the watermark directly.

What is tile mode?

Tile mode repeats the watermark in a grid pattern across the entire page. It's the most professional and hardest-to-remove style, ideal for confidential documents that need complete visual protection.
